I watched The Machinist on the weekend.  I was very impressed.  It is a movie that I can see that a lot of people might not enjoy, but I am of the camp that thoroughly enjoyed it and would watch it again soon. While the movie is not overly surprising, the story wasn't completely obvious to me, although I tend to watch movies at face value.  The short of the long, 'twas a good movie and worth the rent. Christian Bale looks like a bloody skeleton (apparently he lost 60 pounds for the movie and it is believable).

Went biking in the 2nd hottest day in Halifax yesterday, did 40km.  If anybody is in Halifax and is looking for a good ride, the Eastern Passage/Cow bay ride is quite good once you get past the refinery.  In hindsight I probably should have left earlier in the morning to beat the heat, but I survived so all is good.
