The free land of Hosania is thriving, due in large to the abundance of its native animal the blargone.

Time Waster

I have recently started to play an online ..game?... called NationStates.net it is based on this book by Max Barry.  I haven't read the book or read any other book by said author, but I am going to keep my eyes open for a cheap copy of the book, or go to the library, depending on how lazy I am.  The game is kind of interesting, although I am not 100% sure of how it works or what I am doing.  I have kept going back to manage my country at least twice daily so that means something.  I suggest others check it out for something to do.

Eye Trainer

I am also trying to find a copy of this book.  I have always had an interest in the corporate world and its effect on society, but the recent unionization of a Walmart store in Quebec, as well as the new gigantic garbage bins full of  advertisements in Toronto have peaked my interest and a friend suggested the above book.  Should be a good read.

Finger Exerciser

I am going to pick up a copy of Tales of Symphonia tonight.  I have been waiting a while to get ahold of a copy, it has been sold out of most stores for awhile now and they just got some more in stock.  That should keep my busy and not packing for my big move at the end of the month.

New Habitat

I am moving to Halifax, Nova Scotia at the end of the month to start grad school.  I have never been out there before, have never even been any where near that far East so it should be quite the experience.  Looks like I will have about a week and a half to get to know the city.  Anybody been out there and have suggestions of places to see?

Avoid that one chinese place ontop the hill by georgeha (3.00 / 0) #1 Wed Aug 04, 2004 at 10:57:40 AM EST
we went there in 1996, and waited for a long time without being acknowledged, before heading down the road to a different restaurant.

Brush up on Newfie jokes too, they're all the rage over there.

Choice Halifax Sites by CheeseburgerBrown (3.00 / 0) #2 Wed Aug 04, 2004 at 02:12:38 PM EST
The choicest Halifax sites are located outside of Halifax, whose core is cute but very small. For instance Peggy's Cove is nice, despite the new anti-idiocy barriers.

I am from a small, unknown country in the north called Ca-na-da. We are a simple, grease-loving people who enjoy le weekend de ski.
